Fabio Paolizzo - IMG (Interactive Music Group)

Fabio Paolizzo is a composer, musicologist and software developer. He is currently a Ph.D. student and GTA in the School of Arts at the University of Kent - UK, where he formed the IMG (Interactive Music Group).
In the last six years, he focused both his practical and theoretic researches on interactive arts and computer musical systems.
His art works include musical pieces, installations, performances with other artists and he performs and exhibiting regularly in Europe.
The IMG uses acoustic instruments, live electronics and VIVO, a piece of software for interactive music which is able to able to generate an adaptive musical answer to reflect the agents’ behaviour. The band performs open scores with strong elements of improvisation.
Paolizzo was formerly in Italy at the Department of History, Humanities and Philosophy at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he achieved a BA (Hons) and a MA (Hons) in Musicology. In the same university, he taught electroacoustic music as GTA for four years. He organized and/or attended to many workshops, seminars and research projects.
