Levenshulme Bicycle Orchestra…
… are a stunning, shocking band. Yes, they’re from Levenshulme and yes, there are bicycles, but they don’t work, and this is very far from an eco-friendly aesthetic. This is post-punk, post-‘The Fall’. A riot of broken machinery, broken instruments and some downright dirty ranting words.
Their recent Nine Doors CD is dark and glittering and has received some fantastic reviews. This is the first date of their first European tour.

“a Faust-like mixture of ritualised musical theatre and collective improvisation.. a scrapyard gamelan conjuring a post-industrial- even apocalyptic North of England… stumbling rhythms that echo some of the trash-kitsch of Swordfishtrombone-era Tom Waits”
The Wire

Deep Clutter…
… is yet another project from one of the definitive Lost Voices, Lancaster-based singer, Steve Lewis.
This time its a collaboration with sonic artist, Shaun Blezard. Together they create lovely scrapbooks in sound. Birdsong, white noise, drones and chants… The best line of your favourite poem sung to death…

Ade Jackson…
… is one of the great Liverpool voices. Lost and found. As a singer, guitarist and poet he has illuminated the dark times of a dirty old town for many a year with an unrelenting beat aesthetic and an ever weather eye from the back streets of Liverpool 8 to the river, the atlantic, and the chelsea hotel… via Berlin, Amsterdam… You know the scene…
And if all of that is not enough then; there’s a bit of Mister Cave, a bit of Master Cash, a soupçon of Cohen, and a whole lot of Catherine Street…
See you there…

Hope to see you there…
